Mathematics Design Collaborative
The main secondary mathematics professional development initiative
for Arkansas is the Mathematics Design Collaborative (MDC). MDC
supports instructional practices implied by the Common Core through
the use of "formative assessment lessons."
The professional development is led by the Southern Regional
Education Board (SREB). The materials used in MDC come from the
Mathematics Assessment Project (MAP) of the Shell Center for
Mathematical Education. Other support materials are available at the
ASCD-sponsored EduCore site.
To find out more about participating in MDC, contact your local
cooperative or university STEM center.

pictures of you with your colleagues or favorite speakers. Did you
meet that author you respect so much? Tell us! Let us know your
epiphanies or favorite learnings.
(Note: Facebook page will be monitored.)
