2. Speaker Proposals for the Arkansas Curriculum Conference 2012 are now being accepted.

Conference: November 8-9, 2012, Peabody and Statehouse Convention Center, Little Rock

3. Please sign your students up to participate in the 2012 ACTM Regional Mathematics Contest on Saturday, March 3. You can link to a list of regional locations and directors by visiting http://www.actm.net/math-contest.html. Students who qualify in the regional events will be invited to compete in the state contest at UCA on April 28, 2012. Scholarships of $500, $300, and $200 are among the prizes.
4. Applications are due by March 1 for Professional Development Scholarships or Special Project Grants of up to $500 each. Forms to apply can be found at http://www.actm.net/forms.html. The application process is straightforward.

Instructions to Join/Renew ACTM Membership - There are 3 options:

Choose to pay online with Paypal, create your account, pay, and immediately have access to the members only area of the website by logging. 2. Go online to www.actm.net and click the Join/Renew button. Choose to pay with a check, create your account. Then fill out Section 1 of the membership form found on the FORMS menu and send with your check. Your account will be activated when the check is received. 3. Fill out both sections of the membership form (all fields) found on the FORMS menu at www.actm.net and mail with your check. We will set up your online account for you, activate it, and notify you by email of your user name and password (which you can change if desired).
